Eligibility Criteria for MBBS Abroad 2026

To be eligible for MBBS abroad admission, Indian students must meet the following criteria set by the National Medical Commission (NMC):

  • Must have qualified NEET UG 2026 — qualifying NEET is mandatory for all Indian students seeking MBBS admission abroad.
  • Must have passed Class 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects.
  • Minimum 50% aggregate marks in PCB for General category; 40% for SC/ST/OBC; 45% for PwD (General).
  • Must have completed a minimum age of 17 years by 31st December of the year of admission.
  • Must obtain a NEET Scorecard — the score must meet the minimum qualifying percentile (50th for General, 40th for reserved categories).
  • The university abroad must be listed on the NMC-approved list of foreign medical institutions
